Higher demand, small or large? Average selling prices? What years models, rated best to last? etc., etc., etc.

Thanking you for your input in advance.

Even though they were limited editions and only did 120 total a year, (60 Large and 60 Smalls) there are a lot of variations that create a wide price range.

I think overall one of the more "un-dersirable" ones they did was the final year Wenge wood with gold and silver. Even with the precious metals, it just does not seem to bring a lot of excitement. Just my opinions though, some people may love them.

Depending on wood and blade steel combinations, you could expect to pay 800 to over 2000, possibly as much as 3 if it is some crazy Mamouth and Damascus offerings. I know of some that have sold for mid 2s, so I have to think the extremely exceptional ones could go higher.

Average prices... for average woods and years, seems to be around 11-1300.

I'm not sure we could rate a best to last for years. As some years they did multiple inlays, and even among the inlays there can be such variance in wood grains that one inlay could be significantly more desirable than another.

Thank you so much, great information. I'm in total agreement with you on the Wenge wood with gold & silver.

Damascus blades, Mammoth Bark, BG-42 bladesteel, or exceptional wood all drive the prices higher.

For comparison, these are both Buckeye Burl. All else being equal, the price of 'The Owl' would be a lot higher.

Thanks Lone_Wolfe, superb information as always. Man oh, man these are giving me Annual Sebenza fever! What beautiful works of knife art. Is that 1999 a small?

Great information already upstairs. I've tried to assemble a list of inlays and years. I am not claiming that it is 100% correct because you can easily miss one wood inlay used in a particular year. But it will give you an idea.

Wow, thanks you so much James for the compressive listing. Much appreciated. So 2006 with all those woods you could order a Small in one wood & Large in another?

Are there any mechanical differences between the knives 1999 to 2011? Was this knife pattern only used on Annual Sebenza's or has it seen life some where else in Sebenza history? I love the size of those front inlays.

Lone_Wolfe, Which do you prefer, the small or the large? How does the handling compare to regular CRK inlays?

There is a list in my CRK History Timeline in the History links. It may have some you did not mention.

Annuals......To think how many we all passed up several years to for $400-$500. You could almost buy one daily for $500.....lol. Oh how I wish I had bought more than the 2 that I did. One was $400, the other $600 respectively. Now they easily get double that.
