After toying around with the idea buddy of mine and I anodized my 0550 today. We 1st experimented with a boker subcom to much failure. After doing some further research we re-tooled and tired again on the 0550. Turned out great in my opinion very hard to photo but its a blueish gray I am rather pleased.

Looks good! From what I have seen, the thicker the Ti the harder it is to flame it.

I had the voltage at approx 23.5VDC. Which was would normally be 4 batteries. But I didnt have titanium wire or a plate for a cathode so I had much more resistance in my circuit and I had to use 8-9 batteries for my proper voltage. Also depends what color you want, which is determined by voltage.

Didnt flame it, used borax, water, and 9v batteries. Real easy to setup and complete.

I guess I should learn to read a little better! Thats a whole different beast! Still looks good!

Wonder how it effects the warranty... I was told Flaming the Ti Voids it...wonder how they feel about Anodizing..Looks great like a navy blue

That blue looks really nice. You should heat color the clip and screws a nice brown. Nothing looks as good as bronze/brown on blue (except maybe the IO woodwork that Chester has on his 550).
