Anodized my Sebenza 25

I anodized it today with the 0-120volt power supply and extras I picked up this week to Multi Etch, anodize, stonewash and more...

Hit up several other items as well.

That looks totally awesome, please send it to me so I can get a better look.............:D:D:D

Looks cool. I like it. Mine is ano'd bronze from the first owner. It's subtle but it's holding up well.

I may have to pick up a non inlay version to get this look.

really digging a rustic look.

You really nailed that blue shade well. It is even and uniform which I have heard is hard to accomplish - nice job!

Love it!

I'm very curious to know how it holds up to light scratching/wear. Does it simply scratch off leaving the natural ti color behind? May or may not look good as time goes by.

Did you do any surface prep before ano? From all accounts a bead blasted finish stands up to wear better than the standard finish. In any case, if you own the equipment I guess you could re anodize whenever you like. :)

I ran the factory bead blast and the result is the more matte color. By polishing the surface more we are getting much brighter colors.
The prep on my 25 was simply degreaser, cleaned with IPA, sonic bath (heated IPA in it), then MultiEtch, then a double stage rinse followed directly by the anodize.

There have been a few videos on the strength of anodized finish on knives. Though it will wear, it seems to wear in a very cool way. I will post a few more anodized then stonewashed pics next week.
