I want to share some quick mobile phone photos of a couple of recent arrivals from @whitty, a 0460TI and a 0452CF, both customized:

They're both pretty great, and IMO look better in person than they do in my snapshots.

If you've ever wanted a jazzier version of a USA made knife you love, I highly recommend the customized knives available at www.usamadeblade.com.

It's always fun to anodize ZTs. I wish it was easier to remove their lock insert and cover up the detent ball, though.

That 0462 is especially striking!

Is the lock side plain Ti or the same pattern?

The 0462 looks amazing. The other one is an example of a phenomenon I find rather bizarre, given the flag code, but it looks to be well done and if you dig it, more power to you.

I think the flag should be treated with respect, but I've never been motivated about following the flag code to the letter.

Don't get me wrong, I take the handling of actual US flags as seriously as the next guy, I've just never been enough of a stickler to get offended by a flag-themed patriotic t-shirt or bikini or whatever, despite 4 U.S. Code § 8 reading in part:

No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.

FWIW, I also speed lightly where I don't believe it's unsafe and have been known to cross streets in the middle of blocks as well. I'm that sort low-grade renegade, it seems.

I don't think the intent of the knife was to disrespect the flag . Quite the opposite !

The flag should stand for freedom above all else , and not nitpicking rules .
