My old POS supply finally DIED after NEVER working very well form the beginning. I picked up a HUGE, OLD, Variac on Ebay, a 20 amp unit. It has a large dial, about 10" across. It looks rather impressive in the shop, sort of like something from Frankensteins lab
I've only used it a few times now but the color ranges are very easy to find. I could never even get green on my old one, now I can make 3 distinct shades of green!!
