Anodizing a Maxx?

Hello All.

I recently put a big scratch on the handle of my Maxx. I am thinking about sanding the current anodizing off and flame anodzing the handles. Will this affect the warrenty, say, if the blade breaks?

The general answre would be "yes". Anything youo do would have a negative impact on the warranty. However, I have observed that Camillus will take care of problems, even after the knife has been "modified". This, of course, depended on the repair needed and if it was a direct result of the owners modification to the knife.

Hi Doc. That looks good. I'm really starting to like these flame anodized handles. Did you remove the blue or anodize over it?

Also wanted to ask if you had any trouble with the ball detent falling out as the metal expanded? I did a ti handled knife several years ago and had that exact thing to happen.
