I'm having a little trouble with anodizing thicker titanium. I keep getting a faint line across my piece and can't figure out what's causing it. If you look at the bottom picture you can see the faint line on the right side across the scale. I stripped this piece and reanodized it a couple of times with the same result. The other scale was done exactly the same way with no line showing up. I don't seem to have this problem at all when doing the liners, but when I try to do thicker stuff, it crops up. Anybody have ideas of what could be the cause?

The only time i have had this problem is when my TSP solution level is too high. Somtimes if you get the level of saturation in your solution up too high the TSP wants to recrystalize and has bands of higher strength chemical in the solution. My solution to this was to add some water and just to be safe added some watter wetter into the solution, Jet Dry from the dishwasher section. It worked for me!!

Try switching to liquid tsp concentrate.-- Easy to measure and mix, and NO precipitation problems. Don Bell
