Anodizing question

Hi all, have a quick question hopefully someone here will know the answer to. I know that anodizing is the color changing effect on titanium. However, I was wondering. Is it possible to anodize stainless steel? I just got a Benchmade 67 and it would look REAL cool with blue/purple handles and a stonewashed blade I am thinking. Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance everyone.

Nope.

You can heat SS to get it to change color or coat it but not anodize. That is reserved for aluminum and titanium.

thought so. obviously heating the handles would damage the heat treat of the handles. would it make a noticeable difference ya think?

I don't know if it is anodizing like aluminum or titanium, but some stainless can be colored.
