Hey guys,
Just wondering if its possible to anodized blue tita ium back to dark bronze/brass. Would I need to sand the parts back to metal color then heat or electro it again?
Thanks,

Yep, like you said just sand back to bright Ti and re-ano. I have only done electro anodizing, not sure if heat anodizing goes deeper in the metal surface.I've heard once Ti has been heated cherry red, it doesn't ano quite the same.

Hey there, blue is higher on the voltage scale than bronze or purple. Once a higher voltage color goes on it's impossible to work backwards without stripping it first. If your base is a bronze (about 10-15 volts) you can redip and up the voltage (without sanding or stripping ) to go to purple or blue or green. You can use a 3m 7447 red scuff pad from Home Depot to clean up the old Ano. They work well and won't leave deep scratches. Hope this helps!
