Anodizing question

Hi guys, i posted this in another forum, and was wondering if you guys could help me..

I have been anodizing my Ti parts(knife parts..) for quite a while and was wondering how to get patterns in the anodizing. Follow the link below to see what i am talking about.

I havn't tried but i thought of making a stecil and placing the stecil over the piece to be anodized then covering those sections, where i want the pattern, with nail varnish, after cleaning and using different voltages i could maybe anodize the different areas with different patterns.

I hope that makes sense??

Can anyone save me some experimentation time, please..

Anodizing the down and dirty way

Anodize all to get the lower voltage color. Mask off what you want to stay that color, then anodize to a higher voltage.
