Anodizing Titanium

Just a question as to how titanium is anodized to give it different colors, and is it difficult? I've seen some pics of production knives that have been done, and of course my small sebbie CGG. How would someone (not a knifesmith) go about such a project (what is needed), or is it too difficult without a proper shop?

The color depends on the voltage. There are postings on this forum and some tutorials ,do a search. Yes you can do it in your shop.
