Ok this is really a nice gesture. So far I've had two deliveries over the past three days and both with surprises.
This USPS package had a knife and a note saying I thought you would like this. No return addy, not a signiture nothing, just a WV stamp on it from Wheeling and a date.
So who sent me this?? Anyway, thanks. You know funny thing is somewhere I have one of these already that my Dad and Mom gave me the year they were offered. Being from West Virginia dad ordered one of these for all of us. Each of us brothers got one so maybe it was one of them that mailed me this. I'll have to inquire about that. I have relatives in Morgantown which isn't far from Wheeling. You got me wondering folks!
Anyway, thanks. Oh, seen here is a commemorative West Viriginia 125 year anniversary knife made by Buck. This one is like mint condition from 1988 so it will go in the collection box. It has 1863-1988 in the yellow inlay in the handle and is the WV colors of blue and gold. Neat knives even if they were kind of cheaply made. Its basically a Buck112 platform I think.
EDIT: It was my cousin Chris. Apparently its been here since Saturday and my wife forgot to bring it in from her car for me after sticking it the back seat of her Jeep rather than stop watering plants to take it in the house so sorry CR. I didn't see it until today up front where the wife stuck it. I thought it just came but the point is I did get it.
