Been grinding all day. Trying to sand out those INFI dimples and and remove that decarb stuff on the blade I was reading about. The dimples can just remain in the ricasso and pommel. I just kept sanding and sanding. Did a full convex edge. Actually, the Skinny already had a convex saber grind. Ended up with a pile of INFI dust and an even skinnier ASH-1.

Then I decided that it was just too shiny, so I gave it the old Scotchbrite treatment.

very nice!

is that you first piece of Busse:)

that you modded?:)

Even with the scales removed it took about 3.5 to 4hrs a side to remove all the dimples on the one I just finished for a customer.

Looks really good. Nice job. Like the less shiney way better, too.

That's a nice job, Vic!

The Scotchbrite finish looks great.

I just wish that Busse offered the Skinny ASH in double cut like they do the obese one. 8 hrs of sanding on my little Harbor Freight belt sander, and the ricasso and pommel are still dimpled. I'd rather pay an extra $80 for double cut than go through that again. :D
