I was handling my Boss Jack tonight and thinking... I sure do love this knife but how sweet would it be to have an Anorexic Boss Jack as well... I'm talking like 0.15 - 0.18".

Who else would be down for one of those?

It could happen. :D
It did happen . . . back in 2004. And it's sabre-ground. It's referred to as the Straight Handled Satin Jack CG. It's the middle knife in this pic:

The Boss Jack would shine at .187, and I have a feeling it may happen....or at least it should.

take down the scabs, cabs and crabs and bring on the skinny boss jacks jerry!! you know you wanna:thumbup::D

sigh... I'll post mine when I get it o_o

probably see the production run first. it's a great idea, with the release of the CABS it definitely makes it a possibility, something that would have sounded crazy not but 2 years ago.

jerry,,,skinny,skinny,skinny,boss,boss,boss,jack,jack,jack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
put them on the web site or send em to skunk doesnt matter,,ill buy a couple!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbup:
[.170-.189in full flat ground, more taper towards the tip]

what's the skinniest we're likely to see?

I'd buy one if it was clearly different enough. 1/2 as thick? 2/3?

I'd like to see it thinner than the xABS, even if just a little.

In the CABS I need/want just a bit more indestructibility as it's my only one that size.

Whereas with a thin BOSS Jack I'd rather push the boundary of 'thin' to a bit thinner as I have plenty pf beefy mid and large knives.

That's what I'd like to see.

as I think about it, I guess the stock/raw materials will dictate it to a degree and with the xABS it'll probably just use the same stock.

oh well, who knows.

to the top with the alcbj[anorexic large choil boss jack]:thumbup:come on jerry!!

Right after the Proto BOSS Jacks were sold, I posted this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=743115

I was asking for a skinny one then.

It would be hard to imagine Busse doing a version even thinner than the ABS at 0.15". OTOH, I have a short seax by koyote, and he thinks 0.10" stock is plenty thick for a 6" blade, and is happy to baton with them.

Jerry, build it, and they will come.
