another 0560/1 thread

So Im sitting here fondling my freshly modded and tweaked to perfection 0560 and Im completly depressed. Im so bummed about this knife it makes me sick. Why you ask? Because I dont have more of them. I want a 0561 with the brown scale so bad I can taste it and G10 and Elmax are an acquired taste! I am simply over the moon about this knife and really cant wait for the day when I can just go to my favorite supplier and buy these things without waiting in line and or paying out the nose. Im sitting here just loving this knife yet I really wish I had a NIB example of each color and blade option in the safe. So thanks KAI and Kershaw. I thought I was done with knives for awhile but you officially got me back in the game and my wallet hates you.

I can completely relate to this, even though I just got mine. It is such an absolutely fantastic knife. I'm ready to sell off all of my other knives and buy another one or two of them in different colors or patterns. I can't wait for the black dlc coated versions.
 
Im in the same boat as you. Im sitting here flipping it and looking for stuff to cut. The difference is, after this knife, i think im done buying for a while. Gonna take something awesome to top this one in my book. Ill probably pick up a dpx hest but thats a whole different knife all together.

Whats yalls opinion on this knife being tactical? It feels awesome in hand, flipper acts as a nice finger guard when deployed and prevents your hand from sliding up onto the blade. The titanium side could probably get slippery with blood on it. Just thinkin...

I'd say it's VERY tactical. It wouldn't be slippery if you got some tactical gloves to wield it with.
 
I am indeed fortunate - I have a great dealer/enabler on the other side of town. He still has 0550/0551/0560/0561's in stock. I think he ran out of Tilts. He has an overhead - and there is at least 9% s/t. I paid ~$24 over the best mail order - but I picked up an unopened box from stock when those mail order sites are still filling backorders. The same thing happened with the Surefire P2X Fury - I've had mine for months while the $108.50 sale price sites are all 'back-ordered'. Develop a dialog with a local store - they, too, can order ZT's and SF's, albeit for a bit more. However you get one, the new ZTs are neat. I snoozed a bit too long on the Tilt... but it is just weird to me. I get to peruse new offerings - then decide. Of course, a fixed amount of moola just doesn't buy as many knives this way...

I just bought a 0560 BUT I also finally scored a Peter R folder! SO I will be deciding between the two which one will become my EDC and releasing the other one back into the wild ;)

I would have to sell the 0560 for what I paid which is more than MAP ($315) IF I decide to sell it so keep an eye out in the exchange next week or so.

Not to knock the 560 at all, but you will always be able to pick one up later whereas the Peter R knife will be much harder to acquire again.
 
That is true especially for the price I scored the Peter R for. But I will give the ZT a fair shake. I am not looking for a safe queen but a user so the better knife (to me and my needs) will win.

I got a Baaaaaaddd feeling I am going to want to keep both :( But I didn't buy a new AK-47 since it was $600 + so I am having super buyers worry (remorse) about having $600 + worth of pocket knives ;)

Gonna have to make a decision I believe.

If you are getting blood all over your knife and having trouble holding it.... YOU MAY BE HOLDING THE WRONG END! :)
 
Ha ha. I meant in an emergency defensive situation and no gun is on me lol. Anytime a knife enters a brawl, everyone leaves with blood on them.
