Hey guys been awhile thought I'd show you another stacked leather handle AK I dyed it in oxblood then coated it in super glue to give it a nice finish.

Wow, that is one of the most beautiful handles I've ever seen on any knife. It looks like a cross between leather and wood. I need to get a khuk with a not-so-nice handle and do that!

Have you increased the length of the handle as well as the width? It looks like a normal sized man could hold that 12" AK well. That's a limiting factor with the smaller khuks; handle size.

I increased the width and toned down the sweeps on the bell the length is still the same but feels much larger. I beleive on the smaller handle the flare at the bottom pushes your hand toward the blade and the rings help prevent the hand from slipping to far forward. you don't notice this with the 15" and up but on the 12" (my personal favorite) the traditional handles are to thin IMO.

Very, very, very nice job on the handle. Looks like it'd be real comfortable to use.

It's plain outstanding.

I usually grind the points off the bell cap on small khuks so my hand won't get bit using them. A quick and effective method. But your 'fix' raises the overall blade to much higher level.
