Another 14...

Received a package from Tomar's today, containing another 14. I love this little blade, so picked up another. Why? Great question. Leaving this one "naked", and in the stock sheath. Love the 14, almost as much as the 16.

Thank you - I know it's not really an exciting topic for a thread, but it was exciting to me. :)

The leather 14 sheath is from Skystorm, and is a scout carry. Yes, I really like it. Handy carry method, and Skystorm's work is great quality. The leather pouch sheath for the 16 there is Skystorm, as well.
 
Gotta love them skystorm sheaths. The looks of 'em at least, having never handled one.

How do you feel those zytel scales work compared to a cord wrap? Ergonomics-wise i mean.
 
I'm seriously contemplating getting a second one as well. Don't know why though. I got one, and a 24, and an 11. But something in me just wants me to get another 14 before anything else. Strange!

Great pair! And awesome sheath as well.

Those zytel scales really change the feel of the knife for the better, at least in my hands. Fills the hand better, sort of smooths the grip, if that makes sense. I don't think the knife is uncomfortable even bare, but the zytel scales are a nice upgrade, and inexpensive to boot.

I'd love a good set of G10 scales or similar for the one wearing the zytel, but haven't found anything I like that much yet, compared to the zytel.
 
I have two also. Just bought the second one. I striped the second one and put the Zytel handles on it then I changed out the screws for stainless ones. I also have an 11 that I have modified somewhat. There is just something about this knife that "fits". I tried my hand at Kydex for a sheath for the 11 but, dont really like it. Going to do one in leather.

They are kinda addictive. I've got an 11 with micarta handles (feels a lot like a 14) two 14's and a 24. I should probably sell a couple of them and renew my Blade Forum membership. Getting tired of feeling blue.:grumpy:
