For survival purposes would it hurt a 22LR firearm to shoot shorts or CB caps through it? Any accuracy concerns?
Thanks
Bill

It won't hurt anything. It's done a lot. If the gun is semiautomatic, the weaker ammo won't cycle the gun.

The accuracy will be a little less because with the shorter ammo, the bullet has to jump farther before it engages the rifling.

You will get junk build up in the chamber. If you shoot a lot of it, you may have to clean the chamber good before regular .22LR rounds will chamber.

It will be fine to shoot CB caps in that rifle. I own a single shot bolt action rifle and that is one of the main reasons I bought it, versatility of ammo.
