This time I went totally stealth. Usually when I go for overnights, it's in a place that I don't totally belong, but it's not at all a problem. This time I went where I could have actually got into some sort of trouble if I had been found out. It is a small town though, and I wasn't at all worried. I was mostly being secretive for the fun and the practice. ;)

I headed over to the local reservoir to get some pics of the sunset, I had discovered it as a great place for that one evening on a run.

I rode my bike, and put my camping gear on the rear mounted rack. I put my extra layers of clothes and my camera into my backpack, which I wore.

Oh man Simon, you've done it now...the knock you hear later tonight will be the Stealth Warden, who reports to the Stealth Czar, and you are clearly in violation. There could be more charges added if you had fun. I'm not sure we can help you now :-) Nice pics.

Cool pics, but I want more! Did you use as minimal a setup as last time? Were you warm?

Thanks for the comments guys! I had a mora 510 on me, and didn't even have an excuse to use it. It was a clear night, so no need for tent stakes.

Snow: the gear info is in the video which wasn't working, so I replaced it with a link. I was cozy!

stealth trip into an area yer not supposed to be and you posted up pictures?:D

careful out there...

Looks like a you had a good night and went prepared!

Are you wearing hi-vis nail polish in the video? :foot:

Bushman, I'm allowed to be there, just not really allowed to camp there :p

Porcupine: As high vis as it gets! Safety orange, tennis-ball green, and neon pink. Just in case I need to signal while I'm out ;)

Officer: "Look at his fingernails, now we have a wild one"

Hey Simon, which snugpack is it? The jungle one? I have been eyeing them for a while...

If you want to be alliterative you could refer to it as Covert Camping.

You didn't even break a nail! lol

I guess those colors are good when grinding blades!

Rockywolf; it's the Tactical 2 I think. I bought it pre-owned (unused) for $115.
It's a good bag, but based on what I've been reading, I think I'm going to really heavily consider a wiggy's bag for my next purchase (probably a couple years away).

Porcupine; If I couldn't take the heat I wouldn't be wearing nailpolish ;) No offense taken. A funny joke is a funny joke, even if I'm the butt.

Les; maybe you can join me next time! You ever go fishing there? :D:thumbup:
