Another Ax WIP.. type D, E Viking

Ok thought I’d do another Axe WIP. This will be a asymmetrically wrapped and welded Viking type D/E..
Start out with a 1”x5” mild steel block broke down to this

Then the blade is rough forged

Then we fuller for the poll and cheeks, you’ll also notice the blade is split for the cutting bit

Then we forge out between poll and cheeks

Then inside eyes are fullered for a sharp contact

Couple views ready to wrap over

Wrapped over with the front edge scarfed ready for welding. This eye will be a D shape with flat back
