Another ball bearing knife

a very nice knife Mr. Bump, man that is a beautiful blade! is it the polish that the light is catching or is that the grain? dumb question im sure, but im still new at this :o

I like this one! The brass goes very well with that color handle! Whats the diameter of that bearing? 3"?

Very nice! I'm not a big brass man, but it really works on this blade.

This one is all recycled materials. Brass is cheap and easy but looks good on some knives. Some people actually prefer it and it holds the price of the knife down to the buyer from me at least. My only real complaint is it turns green especially in a leather sheath so I seldom put it on.

David, The bearing size is under 1.75" There isnt any material wasted.

Badkarma, The blade has a hand rubbed finish to 1000 grit. No real grain showing.

Nice one Bruce. It sort of reminds me of a blade that I carried as a youth, only it looks so much better. The knife I am referring to was known as the Golden Spike from Shrade. Yours is a WHOLE LOT nicer version though and I bet it is easier to keep Sharp/Sharpen.

You've been pounding on them BB's lately. Keep it up!

I like it very much.I think the brass works with it very well and it looks really clean to me.Super job Bruce.

That's a great little utility/hunter, Bruce... I love the blade shape! I'd want a different handle, but that's just my taste... The handle on that one, however, does do it justice.
Hope to see you again in Eugene!

Very nice blade Bruce. That's my shape. Great work.
But the guard feels to me a tiny bit to heavy for that wonderfull slim blade.

I may be being stupid, but do you mean a knife made from a ball bearing?
Yup thats what he means....see that ball bearing in the pic? He heats it up, hammers/presses it flat, and then forges it into the blade.

Bruce, This knife has balls..... Does this mean you'll have more than your gun/ax on your table? See you in a couple days.

thats a great overall knife. How do you test your bearings I have a ball mill job coming up and might be able to walk off with a bucket full of those ;)
