Here is a very decent 18 inch, 1.75 pound, WWII made and marked by Murali. The fit and finish far exceed mil specs and the edge hardness is about Rc 58 - 59 and edge is good and sharp. Karda and chakma are fine. Karda is very neatly done with slight fuller and very hard edge. Scabbard is missing the tip but maybe I can find one and send it along. I'll look but no promises. Frog is 100 year HI superfrog.
What is wrong with the khukuri? There is a grainline in the handle that may or may not develop into a crack. Only time will tell but even if it does it will be a superglue fix. And, there is a small indentation near the tip where Murali worked out a forging flaw. The knife is in no way compromised but it does not measure up to the perfect standards expected from HI.
Take $50 off for the cosmetic flaw and missing chape (maybe missing) and we will deliver this rig to your for $95.
Call or email if interested.
