Here is another in the continuing barely a blem series.

This is a 20 inch, 2 pound 2 ounce, Chiruwa Sirupati made and marked by Kumar. The fit is very good and so is the finish but it is not quite up to the magic stone mirror quality. Hardness 59 or 60 Rc in the chopping area. Brass inlay and scrollwork very nicely done. This khukuri will do 100 years of heavy work and still be in good shape. Karda and chakma good. Scabbard excellently made and tooled by the sarki with no name. Frog 100 year HI superfrog.

So, what's wrong with this khukuri? There are some tiny rust spots on the blade near the cho. If you time is worth less than $50 per hour you will save money because I am discounting this rig $50 and with some sandpaper and about 30 to 45 minutes you can rid yourself of the rust spots if you like.

$75 delivered to your door. Call or email if interested.

Thanks Uncle Bill,

btw, I noticed that in the catalogue the 20" Sirupati is listed as 1.35 lbs. Is the one I ordered an exception to the rule, or am I misreading something?

Regardless it's still a great looking blade

Your lucky James.

I saw this one early, but decided to pass in favor of the dragon sirupati I am conversing with Bill about. It was tempting though

Congrats. I hope you enjoy it. It'll be a great blade.

Thanks Kamui,

This will be my primary source of satisfaction/enjoyment/something to come home to until the 25" Kobra comes in...

muhahaha!

I ordered one of these about a month ago and
was very pleased with the chopping ability, mine is a little bit heavier at 2.36lbs.This is my first khukuri and not my last.Mine is not marked so I don't know who made it.I took it out to the woods one day and started hacking away and when I finished there wasn't any blade damage but I did get a small bilster on my hand and boy was my arm tired.I want a 20" Kumar Kobra next somthing a little lighter, but this Sirupati with the chiruwa handle looks good.
