I received by Becker BK5 Magnum Camp this past Friday. When I heard that the BK5 and BK15 would be discontinued, I immediately ordered the BK15. Since then, the 15 has become my EDC fixed blade riding in an AZWELKE taco sheath with a simple IWB belt loop at 8:00 (5 1/2" max legal length in TX).
I have been exceeding pleased with the 15. It is my primary meat-slicer at lunch time. The performance of the BK15 thus far is what inspired me to get the BK5.
Wow. What a knife. The center of gravity is right at the front of the handle. The blade geometry screams both "stabby-stabby" and "slicey-slicey". The slight up-sweep of the trailing point design is conducive to a nasty back-cut, which could further be enhanced if one were to put an edge on the top swedge for an inch or so. I have a lot of knives, but not one of them is as fast and nimble in the hand.
I concede that the trailing point does not make for an indestructible tip, so I wouldn't want to use it to pry or dig. That's OK. I have other tools for that job.
This knife is absolute slicing perfection.
There is no other tool so well suited to performing every task required to make a meal out of a big furry critter, or to stop a big furry critter (with four legs or two) from ruining your day.
