Well, I struck out on the Crewman for sale here on BF's today...so, in a fit of depression...I typed my way over to the Bay...and bought another BK9.
Now I feel much better.:D

I could have bought a BK2...but man, I had just enough for the BK9, and wanted another one...so, what the heck.
Now I get to feel any difference between the Camillus and Kabar.

Take solace in the fact that, when you get your Beckerhead number, you'll be eligible to purchase the Becker forum knife, which will be... a Becker Crewman. Old-school Camillus blanks that will be treated and massaged by Ka-Bar just for the Beckerheads. Until then, enjoy your new BK-9.

Congrats on the BK9. I love mine this much *holds up hands* The BK7 I just got is schweet too.

All the anti-depression medication out there, and those on TV ads are useless. All a person needs is a big hunk of steel, and a place to use it.
Depression? Take 9" of steel and beat the crap out of some wood.

No side effects either! Though there may be a slightly increased risk of injury.

Definitely relieves stress whacking away with a big knife.

I think its way more dangerous trusting a drug over Ethan...but I am nuts.

Man oh man..that was pretty cool.
I need to get one now..thanks buddy....
I can think of alot of things I could make better with that..small details, that I hate holding on my miter saw..but still do:D
I was actually scared for the guy in the video..he was close to the blade on a few passes, but then I remembered, no power!
A cut from that would need a band aid..a cut from the table saw..well, its more than a band aid can handle..trust me.

Me loves the 9. Did you buy the Cam this time or the Kabar? The Cam is thicker, but the Kabar is WAY better balanced. I compare mine all the time, and honestly, I think the Kabar one is better. My 9 chops like a fiend, and even through my shaded memory, it chops better than my Cam 9 did. I think the extra weight and slightly thicker edge geometry, hindered the blade from sinking deeper.

Now you got one to mod and one to keep straight.

Mod away, amigo, mod away.

Nope, I bought the Kabar this time...I have a CamBK9 now...used it to make some killer sauce tonight..Onions, Garlic, and Sausage didnt stand a chance..and the patina from prepping food is my favorite type of patina...I love food!
I figured the Kabar was thinner by a small margin..judging by the pics I have seen. About 1/32 to 1/64th...but that adds up in a knife.
I cant wait to test the Kabar out.
They will both be modded...I just cant leave anything alone.
