I'm thinking of a 556 mini-grip, 705, or a 770(?) What do you all think for every day carry? Whoops,EDC!..Thanks

emil :

I own the Benchmade 556 "mini" Griptillian & IMO it's a DAMN GOOD
EDC ( mine's PE ) And, for me, the size is JUST right. Can't beat that "axis" lock either ( unless it's the SOG "arc lock" on the Pentagon Elite
( love those "dagger type" blades!;)) Inevitably, it's YOUR call, however.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! ;)

AET ;)

My one-hander/tactical EDCs have changed more times than I can remember...
Spydercos galore (Rescue, Delica, Endura, Vesuvius, Meerkat), Gerber Air Ranger, Kershaw Scallion, CRKT Bladelock and M16-03, and the list goes on and on...

But for an EDC, they have all been replaced by the Benchmade 555.
Only two of the former EDCs can still give it a run for the money: the CRKT Bladelock and the Gerber Air Ranger.
All the others now live in the box.

However, the search for the perfect EDC continues, and I'm now looking at the Benchmade 720 or 721.

Happy hunting,
Allen.

I like the grip feel of the Bm556's and larger models too, feels the hand nicely and doesn't dent ole pocket book to bad either.

You are in the right direction looking at Benchmade! I have several Benchmade Axis and I cannot say enough about them! The best lock on the market, very well made and a very good warranty from a GREAT company!
