From the answers to my previous thread I have been sold on the Axis locking system but this has lead me to one more question, that being which knife.

I am looking at the 710 in D2 steel and the HK14200 Snody in 154CM, if any of you have had experience with both I would surely appreciate any input that you can provide that would aid me in making my decision.

Thanks,

John

I have both, but the 710 is in M2. Wider knife on the 14200, but longer blade on the 710. If you like open back design, the 14200 is the way to go. Both give good full handed grips and feel solid in the hand.

What do you intend to use it for??

I too liked the look of the 710 in D2, looks like a nice knife, I hope it has some tru elife support to back it.

I'm looking for a bit bigger EDC to be used for evryday chores from food to cardboard to opening mail with a little brush work thrown in. It's just I have found very little to read on the Benchmade HK knives but that 14200 really caught my eye.

Thanks again for any input.

If there's food and brush work thrown in, I would go for the 14200 cos of the totally open back design, makes cleaning up a whole lot easier.
