So I purchased my first Spydey, the Tenacious. I cannot put it down. I am seriously impressed with this knife for the money I paid. Now I am a budget man and do not usually go for anything over fifty dollars. But this knife is drawing me in. The QC on this product seeing that it is manufactured overseas far exceeds other manufacturers at this price. So Santa will be bringing me a Salt Series knife as my next Spyderco purchase. Salt fits my needs since I am in the Food and Beverage industry.

So grats, Spyderco, you have secured another customer. I will buy a Salt and then I will be done......Right after I buy the Para2. Then the Native. Then the......

Exactly how it works. :D

Congrats and enjoy. I started with the Caly 3 a couple years ago, and now I'm up to about 50 spydies. I think Spyderco infuses the scales with some sort of addictive chemical that is absorbed through the skin.

Same for me.

Tenacious was the first decent knife I bought.

My favourite Spyderco now is still just a good ol Delica.

If you want another great value, check out the Ontario Rat 1. ;)

racer, what are your favorites out of all those?

It really is hard to pick a single favorite. I think the Sage 1 would be the perfect "if you could only have one Spyderco" knife.

My CF / S90V Paramilitary 2 has probably gotten the most pocket time. The Paramilitary 2 is nearly an ergonomically-perfect EDC knife.

The Caly 3 would be a close 2nd to the Sage 1 as the "could only have one" winner.

The Valloton is very sexy and imposing. Love it.

The Gayle Bradley is a tank that I've called the "M1 Garand" of the Spyderco line-up.

If you like a big, beefy knife and have room in your pocket, the Manix 2 is a worthy contender.

My Kopa Abalone is jewel-like. Gorgeous!

The Navaja is just uber-cool. It's pretty. It's different. It's hefty. It talks to you when you open it!

See what I mean about trying to pick a favorite?? :D

My first was an Endura. Now I'm up to 57 Spydies. It's REALLY addicting!

I started out with the G10 Jester and Cat this summer. Now I'm up to 9 I think? Got a MeerKat, Techno, Terzuola Slipit, Yo2, Para1, Endura4, MT15.

It's addicting :3

My first was the Endura 4 FFG,shortly followed by a
2- Delica4 , PE..Then a
3-Pacific Salt SE(yellow)..Then another
4- Delica4 but this one was the FFG vesion..And then a
5-Pacific Salt SE(black),,and a
6-Talsman Salt SE (yellow)...
All the H1s are full serrated and I believe I have all bases covered with these..CD

I don't have a Salt in my collection, yet. But, they do have an enthusiastic following. I'll have to get one eventually.

I think I need to get a salt to keep in my boat. I usually leave a crap steel knife on the boat due to the corrosion problem. Something with an H1 blade would solve that problem.

Unrelated to the original post, but where did you get that display pocket mat you have all your spidies in racer?

Thanks

It's a Spyderco product called the "Spyderpac." Google it, and you'll find it. They come in two sizes. If memory serves, the smaller one holds 18 knives. The big one holds something like 33 knives.

Hi Inistis,

Welcome to our forum.

sal

Much Thanks, Sal. My membership is a tad deceptive. I started this account I think due to my research on multitools back in '08. I have just recently rediscovered this place and like so much what I have seen from its members to buy a gold membership. Had my Tenacious for two weeks now and it has become my favorite knife. Decided on a Salt I for my xmas present.

Welp, I lied. I never bought the Salt. I did however, buy an Endura 4 plain edge Saber grind. Cut myself with it within 3 hours of owning it:) Pays to read the opening instructions on the Spyderco website. Sharpest knife I myself have ever owned coming out of the box.

Cannot put it down. If anyone thinks FRN is cheap pick up this creature. The attention to detail where traction is concerned is awesome. I cannot speak to its reliability in wet conditions but its awesome otherwise.

Only thing I would change is make these knives,(and all folders), ride lower in the pocket. Why you guys at Spyderco do not do that already is a mystery to me.

All in all, thanks Spyderco. The Endura 4 is everything I expected it to be.
