Ok, so I woke up way early and had nothing to do, so I drove an hour and found myself at the Cabelas. I decided, while there, that I should impulsively buy something...so I bought a Work Sharp thingy. If you haven't used one yet...they are definitely worth the money.

Like a good Beckerhead in training, I wandered over to the knife counter. I wasn't looking for anything in particular so I checked out this Hogue knife that caught my eye. 235 bucks but it SURE was nice. Heavy in the hand and made of A2 steel. I put it back and saw the Bk16. I asked to see that knife and the guy told me that it was a Ka Bar, not a Becker...idiot. Anyway, he handed it to me blade first...idiot...and I grabbed it, flipped it around and instantly fell in freaking love!!! I bought it without hesitation and with reckless disregard to my finances. And I don't care! The fit and finish are amazing, the knife feels as though its bigger than its size, and it came decently sharp. The sheath is cool...especiallyfor a stock sheath and I have no complaints about it. The peanut butter grips are weird looking and will probably be getting the RIT treatment I learned from you guyson here. I can't wait til my hiking trips start back up so I can knock the new off of this thing. This is perfect.

I saw a youtube video where Ethan Becker said that this knife was 50 years in the making. It definately reflects it with the way that it just melts into you hand. Thank you sir for designing and offering this fine blade!! Awesome!!!!

Now to learn how to properly photograph a knife and put pictures up on here....:p

Huh... That sounds vaguely familiar to what I just did except that I got a BK15 from Sportmans Warehouse. It didn't stay stock for long it's been stripped and cliched with some homemade micarta in the works. Wonder if I should have bought the 16 as well. Nice impulse buy, by the way!

That sounds like how I got my 16, except for instead of going to Cabelas, I went to Moosebladez. And instead of getting a FFG 16, I got a Saber ground 16.

Congrats on your acquisition! The 16 is definitely a masterpiece, I love my FPR 16 (a true testament to how amazing this knife is, I bought it as a safe queen and it lasted maybe 5 months before I stripped it, patina'd the flats, dyed the sheath, and started using it). Enjoy in good health!

Crappy phone pictures but here you go. I loved the idea I had seen where someone had the sliding 550 cord "bead" on the lanyard. Well I tried to make this so called "Ranger bead" and got ticked off, so I put a button compass on there to serve the same purpose. So far I'm completely impressed with this knife. I cannot wait to knock the new off of it soon.

I've also ran it to a razor sharp edge on the Work Sharp WSKTS. I forgot to snag a picture of that little jewell.

The multi tool is a leatherman wave and is my typical EDC knife. I love how the stock sheath of the BK16 comfortably fits both it and a bic lighter. That clears up a little room in my pocket when I'm out and about. I still EDC the leatherman in its stock sheath when I'm out and about in urban areas.
