it's a proprietary material that i use.
there are some glow powder's out there though that last for 24hrs. check out glowinc.com
my stuff lasts forever and is super bright! i can see everything on my nightstand all night long from one little dot on my knife....it's bright stuff. for awhile i had trouble sleeping because of it. i had to flip the knife over on my nightstand until i got used to it. even with it flipped over it still put off enough light from under the knife for me to at least see the knife in the dark.
