I've long wanted a Regular blade on a Classic or 21 handle scale, so i gave it a shot.
This is a Small 21 handle. I made this blade something like the shape of the large Regular blade.
I did not achieve the precision of a CRK of course, but it works pretty well. It's a flat grind, I've got the shoulder thickness to .015" at the edge, it should be a slicer.:) Needs more work, but nearly there.

Collectors, don't look at these pictures.;)

I don't plan on making another, but wish CRK would make a Drop Point blade on a bushed pivot again.

Just out of the kiln.

needs adjustment

about as good as it's going to get

Thank You!

No stud!
To open, using the Skellern method. Thumb on the jimping, then round (arc) motion.

Used D2 as blade material, I like the the really sharp edge I get on D2 and it keeps that keen edge a decent amount of time. I like it better than S30V or 35VN for that reason.

I really like that. I would love to see it with just a nail nick, no stud. Great work all around.

Thanks for reminding me about the flat ground Sebenza I'll never find/own:(

Joking aside, that looks great! I really like the high shoulders of the grind. I wonder how the same blade would look with a sweeping plunge line.

Great looking job, Gull. Pretty soon, we'll see you on the knife makers forum selling. :D

Blues, you just have to look in the right place for that FFG. I might know someone that has one.

D2 is one of my favorite steels! It is a pain to sharpen, but it holds a nice edge forever:thumbup:

I like it. A drop point is my favorite blade... You did a very nice job on it

Thank you all for the kind words.
I posted this to bring attention to a great blade shape. As far as selling knives, at 73 that ship has passed.:D
