I have seen a lot of good suggestions to others looking for boots. So here is my criteria.

Looking for a black 6" lace-up uninsulated leather boot. Plain sole (non-lug) without a padded collar. A toe cap is ok.

The Chippewa 29550 are pretty close to what I am looking for.. but is only 4.5" and is brown.

Hi Iron City-

You can always obtain a pair of custom-built Wesco boots where you can specify height, insulation, lining, toe box, color, leather type, sole, and a few other options. They're waiving the set-up fee and shipping through the end of next month. Truly awesome construction.

There's a pair that match your criteria pretty well I think. They're 8" tall though, none of the 6" came in black.
I wear a pair similar to those all the time for work. For the last couple months its been in a cabinet shop where I might stand on concrete for 8 hours straight, and they're very comfortable. Also very good for baling hay and jobs where you're walking around alot. They're made really well too, I get between 3 and 4 years out of a pair :D
