Nice lookin' snake!

He's lucky your mistress didn't bite him!  :D

What kind is he... do you know?

.

Looks like a type of King snake, not for sure though.

Good to keep one under the house... keeps any small rodents and poisiness snakes away.

Good pics:thumbup:

WOW, cool pix! Glad ya didn't have to whack this one, but am glad that ya shot it! :D:thumbup:

Very nice! He looks like a pretty typical and nicely patterned Southern Watersnake. Thanks for sharing.

I figure its just a common water snake, not very aggressive

I agree and nice pictures VWHILLS.

Being in West Virginia, that appears to be a Northern water snake (Nerodia sipedon ) The colors are a bit muddy and dull though. I suspect he will be shedding his skin soon and then he will really be looking good.:D

Watch out! LeatherHOG may be my soon. ;)

Did someone say snake? :D 'Round here we call em banded water snakes, guess they are a wide ranging speces. A lot get killed by mistake because they resemble a water mocassin a little too closely.

I have to drag out the Ball Pythons and get some Busse and snake pics. The female just shed and she's feeling pretty spry so no promises. The male might cooperate long enough. I just hope they dont get too cantankerous, one bad move and I'll have more inlay material. Daughter would hurt me though. :o

We have a Red Bellied Water Snake down here that gets mistaken for a moccasin real often. I just tell 'em that they shouldn't have snuck up on me like that. If I have a chance I check out his head or look for that creamy white belly before I separate his head from the rest of him.
