I was so impressed with the yellow Mini Trapper I posted on here that I bought my uncle a couple weeks ago that I ordered one for myself. I'm just as impressed with this one as I was the other.I don't think for the price you can beat these.

Nice example of that knife. I like the Mini Trappers but the shape of the clip blade is not my favorite. That hasn't stopped me from owning several and carrying one from time to time. The Wharncliffe version is a great blade combo.

I only have one trapper, a Northfield #48 and really like it. The calif clip and spey combo are great and I like the equal length of both. I admit I've been eyeing the Case Mini-Trapper as it's just such a classic.

I love that chestnut bone mini-Trapper you've got there John! Nice! I debate over yellow delrin and chestnut, I like both.

Yeah I like those a lot. I just picked up one in CV with chestnut bone scales. Really wish they made one with a wharncliffe in CV.

Thanks! That picture is a bit blurry, but that particular knife was one of those where the planets were aligned right at the Case factory and the result was toward the upper end of what they turn out. The pic doesn't really do it justice.

It seems like (this is just anecdotal based on my experience) that the Chestnut CV models are usually in the "wow, they really did a great job on this one" category more often than not. Oddly enough, the Yellow Delrin CV models I own also fall in that category, even though they are among the least expensive.

Though unlike some posters, I have had many more hits than misses with my Case knives and I am generally well satisfied with them for value received for the cost.

My CV yellow Peanut was the same - outstanding Fit and Finish, both blades perfectly centered and stupid-sharp. Very nicely polished. I had to lower the tip of the secondary/pen blade just a hair by sanding the kick a teeny bit, but with that this Peanut is now PERFECT in every way. I've been very impressed with it and it's been in my pocket or within arms reach since the day it arrived in the mail. The mini-Trapper is the one I'd probably go with as my next Case knife.
