Awhile back, I posted for advice on finding a USA Scrade 194OT. Todd A. then sent me one, politely declining my offers to pay or swap. Thanks, Todd!

The reason I wanted a Schrade 194OT is that my best friend had one as we were growing up. When we were 12, I got a Vic Huntsman and he got the Schrade. These knives were our constant companions as we loafed around the woods back home in MI. One day when we were probably about 16, we were hanging out at our usual woods spot carving and whittling away at things as we shot the breeze. All of a sudden I heard this *SNAP* and when I looked up, he had somehow broken about a third of the blade off his 194OT. He stuck the knife in a tree and left it there (for all I know, it's still there).

I plan to enjoy my new-to-me Schrade for awhile, and then give it to my friend this summer when I head back to MI for a visit home. He's never been much of a knife guy, but I'm sure he'll remember his first one.

I am still amazed at the generousity of the members here. Your friend must be a great guy and he has an awesome friend also.

Hi,

I am also amazed by the generosity of the people here too. It is like being a member of a fine Gentleman's Club.

Kudos to both you Foilist and Todd A. for bringing happiness to someone else!

Your welcome.

I just hope your friend doesn't snap the blade on that one.

VERY TRUE.....great group of folks here!!

In fact, I'm posting just below one of them, and there are others!

THis is the best group of guys I have ever had the pleasure to learn from. Very kind and everyone seems to be welcomed. The generosity of the members here always lets me know the whole world has not been currupted by greed and what ever else has gotten the USA in the state it is in.

Thanks guys for everything,
John
