Here are two pictures I found of the Cuda Maxx. Are they slightly different or am I seeing things? If they are slightly different what does that mean...is one a early production model....if so which one.

Here are the differences I think I see.

The Cuda in the first picture has the lettering on the blade higher up...as where the Cuda in the second picture has the lettering lower on the blade.

The second thing I see is that it looks like the Cudas blade in the first picture is alot more polished than the Cudas blade in the second picture.

The polish difference could be the lighting in the photos.

....Or not..... Somebody with a little more expertise want to chime in here?

Hello fellow Cuda Hounds :D

I think there was a previous thread on the Maxx blade finish.

Some of production had a more polished look to them (like mine) and others were more toward the tumbled look, not as polished but not a matt finish either. The D2 does effect the overall look of the blade.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply!

Do you have a link to the thread about the Cudas blade finish? I tried searching but the search feature isnt working for me.

Also. Do you know if the polished blades mean that they were of early production or of later production. My Cuda should get here either today or tomorrow so Ill be able to give you more details then.

I think the higher polished blade on the bowie came out after the stilleto CUDA maxx was avaialble. The stilleto version had more of a polished blade. All of the early bowie maxx's I have seen from the first couple of years were tumbled. This is actually the first one I have seen with a polish to it.
