I liked the earlier post on the rehandled S1, so I thought I'd share the one I have here as well. It has Desert Ironwood handles, and I just had to have it when they pulled it out of the box!! Just thought I'd share as well...

I'm a sucker for ironwood anyway, but man that one is especially nice. Glad you snagged it. I might have spent my grocery money if I'd seen it first. :D

Where oh where did you get it???

I picked it up at our annual PWYP gathering in April in North Carolina. I believe it was the fellows from JRE that brought them out. I'm not 100% sure who did the handles, but it's a fantastic job, and everyone's right, it's a beautiful knife!

I almost hate to use it!:(

Oh heck with that! I'd use it and love every second of using it! :D

I'm not a Falkniven fan... firmly entrenched in the Bark River Camp. I'd jump ship in a New York minute for that - what a beauty of a knife - and even the firesteel! You are indeed fortunate.

Yes, I like Barkies as well. I've got several of those too. I think Bark River offers the best selection of handle materials on the market. You can find just about anything to suit your tastes!

You are in trouble then because you can get a Barkniven from KSF.
The Fallkniven blade with a Mike Stewart edge and handle.

Just check out that contour.

Not as nice as the ironwood but they do have some with burl and sheep horn as well.

That ironwood one is incredible though. i would have grabbed it myself.

Beautiful Knife G-Man. Been checking out these Bark River Customs for some time now. What is Ironwood by the way? Is someone else other then KSF selling some re-handled Falknivens? It would be great to see more variety for S1's and A1's. Also does anyone sell re handled Mora 2000's? I have seen the blanks for sale but it's a shame Bark River doesn't sell a rehandled Mora 2000 with Micarta handles.

Here's what I found on Wikipedia
