This one was a fun project. I call it Menace.
Started out as a camillus swedge. Blade is 440c but is very hard and nicely made with a flat full taper grind originally designed as a wood splitter.
I used some live edge white walnut I have laying around and I did a full through tang channel then filled the pommel hole with epoxy and random pattern chopped copper wire.
The guard is hammer finished aluminum 1/4" thick.
The handle is stained with black cherry bringing out the unusual random grain patterns and is sealed in polyurethane.
The handle is rectangular at the guard, tapers then blends to rounded at the fan shaped pommel.
The handle is epoxied on and has a tube that is flared for a permanent fit. I reshaped the tip and preserved the original length.
Still thinking about a sheath.
