  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I was wondering.....if I sent a picture of my tribal tattoo to Mr. Ralph how would he get the design onto the actual knife handle if all I have is the picture of the actual tattoo on my arm?

I've never asked Darrel about the details of the process, but in outline he'd go from the photograph to a drawing (with pencil/paper or an image manipulation program), and then from that drawing into coordinates/instructions telling the CNC machine how to machine the pattern into the titanium of the handle.

Bottom line is that assuming you can get him a decent photograph (in focus, etc.) of the tattoo on your arm, it shouldn't be a problem to get it on your knife handle if you're ordering one of Darrel's customs.

Ever since I saw the video of Joe Perry's knife I thought a Madd Maxx would look kewl with my tattoo on it.I just love Rachael Ray saying "That's a damn big knife" then Joe proudly says "Its a Darrel Ralph!"
