I really like that Kephart with wood scales. I have this one that Bryan made and it is a way cool knife.
Thanks for posting.

thanks! this was actually in the southern tip of harriman in ny but it's not that far from wawayanda (i think it's around 15 miles away)...it was colder than i expected on this trip but i like the cold - the colder and more snow the better for me :)

we mountain bike frequently in the area (jungle habitat and ringwood are my favorites) and wawayanda is well-known in the biking community for spotting bears so if you hike in the less traveled parts, just make lots of noise :)

Nice! Beautiful knives! What little stove are you using? How light is it?

thanks! that's the titanium version of the emberlit...along with the stainless steel crossbars (for supporting smaller cups and pots) and the case, it's only 7 oz (0.437 lbs)...great wood stove!

thats a great looking Kephart. The pics are really nice, especially for a Florida boy that never gets to see snow and ice.

thanks! the snow is nice because it lets me explore areas i normally wouldn't go in the summer for fear of running out of water. i can scope out new areas to overnight later on too with little risk of getting lost.
