i like hiking in the rain - these red-spotted newts comes out in droves.
almost every oak tree had a couple of these hairy creatures on it it seemed like.
orange millipede.
looking at my field guide now it 's either a bur oak or white oak...forgot to take a pic of the bark, d'oh.
i usually can't sleep in a hammock but decided to just use it to lounge around on since this one's been in the gear box for a few years now.
perfect spot - all i had to do was roll over and blueberries were within reach.
anyway, between the blueberries, view of the lake from my hammock...
...and blue skies, i dozed off and next thing i know i ran out of time and never got to play with any of the knives i brought
