i left the hammock at home so i actually got some things done...making some wedges with the spear point with pommel.
started the split with the knife but finished it off with the wedge as soon as i was able to insert it.
showed my buddy ron how to process cedar bark for tinder.
last time he hiked was over two years ago so i'm surprised he went today after riding his mtb yesterday
i let him have the honor of lighting the fire as a reward 
now the flying bugs are gone but i still caught a couple of ticks crawling up my pants' legs.
