i left the hammock at home so i actually got some things done...making some wedges with the spear point with pommel.

started the split with the knife but finished it off with the wedge as soon as i was able to insert it.

last time he hiked was over two years ago so i'm surprised he went today after riding his mtb yesterday :eek: i let him have the honor of lighting the fire as a reward :)

thanks! batoning is such an important outdoor skill that i figured it needs to be documented in different ways lest the future generation forgets :p

i'm pretty sure he's just doing this for fun for now so no website. he's got more pass-around knives almost ready to go...go to esee's diy section to sign up if you'd like. he's limiting it to well known members to prevent them from being jacked so if he doesn't recognize you (although that rat pack # should be enough) tell him i'm vouching for you and link this thread.

you gave me this patch from a long time ago and i still have it by the way :)
