Here's a very good 15 inch AK. Who made it I don't know. The work doesn't help identify it so I am guessing a visiting kami made this knife. He did a good job and it rates the HI logo. It is 7/16 thick and weighs a pound ten oz. Fit and hardness are very good but the finish is not up to HI standards. It will take some time with a little sandpaper or buffing wheel to get the finish to mirror. Karda, chakma, scabbard and early version of HI superfrog all pretty decent.

So, what's wrong with this knife. Unmarked, finish isn't quite up to snuff and there is a tiny fold line that means nothing near the chol

Looks a pretty good knife Uncle Bill, I'd have been interested, but the pocket won't allow another one for a while. Someone else will no doubt enjoy it. Keep well.

I really shouldn't do this but..... I'll take it Uncle Bill. Pack it in with the Kumar Karda. My father-in-law the knifesmith is always lusting after my 15"AK so I think maybe this one will go to him.

I know I'm not going to want to give it up once I get it! I need willpower!!!!
