Another Delay Notice

Just received a delay notice for My #1-8. Original date June ,now moved back to September. My last Randall , 2-8 , was delayed as well. I suppose that My 12-9 14 grind scheduled for 2014 will be delayed as well. Boy do I hate waiting but what a nice knife when they finally do arrive.
 
I have an order through Nordic Knives for a model 18, the date for this order has been pushed back as well. Busy times I suppose.
 
My latest Nordic Special was originally expected to come in last November, and I got it last month:

The last I heard, the shop is running three months and one week "late" (beyond the 58-month delivery date). That's actually good news - it's down from three and a half months.
 
The wait time is long, but I always smile when i have them in hand. Focus on the good part, or find hapiness in something else I'd say.

I told ya'll you shouldn't post links to the randall dealers on Bladeforums. ;)
 
Ron, authorized or unauthorized? I buy a fair number from authorized dealers, and from friends that get theirs from authorized dealers - not to mention there are at least a half dozen aftermarket guys like myself with websites to buy from.

Also, you can check the sales ads here at BFC for knives...I get a fair number that way too.

I'll bet the delay is all those danged servicemen (and women!) jumping ahead of us arrmchair comandos who really need another Randall to fill a drawer or safe! To think they are going into combat to risk their lives for us ( some of us have done that too) and we're the ones who have the longest wait! Oh well, Bart RKS#132
 
There was a time when i was serving the price of a Randall was about 1/3 of one months pay. If they are jumping ahead of us in mass and dampening the order time so be it. But i don't think so.

@ Melvis, my sarcasm was referencing authorized Dealers.

EDIT: sorry bout the mis-spelling, I think i can get it right next time.
