Ok, this isn't going to be the typical "What are you carrying?" thread. Instead, I want to know what is your current favorite EDC blade and what was it's first task? Mine would be the ZT 0560 and the first thing I used it for was to cut the cellophane off of a Blu-ray I bought. (Olympus has fallen is awesome BTW) So what is your current favorite and how did you first use it?

PS: Pics are always welcome.

ZT 0801, the first thing I cut was a bandage off my finger...don't worry it's healing fine...thank you for asking...I appreciate it. :o

Found a Benchmade 530 I like. When open it resembles the old Gerber Boot Knives. Check it out...

Current fav EDC is my Strider PTCC. First task was cutting a new bow line for a raft. I actually don't really dig small knives very much but this lil guys handle is very comfortable and it carries like nothing's there. I haven't come across anything yet that I actually wished I had a larger blade. That will probably change though. I'm a raft guide in the Summer and I'll most likely find it lackluster when I go back to carpentry in the Fall. (Which is why I pic'd it next to an SnG...my typical go-to go-to.)

My favorite EDC blade is currently my Izula II. It's small enough that it goes unnoticed at work, but beefy enough to handle everything I've thrown at it so far. :)

This is my favourite for EDC atm and I doubt that's gonna change anytime soon, unless we have a radical change in carry laws. First use was slicing ham, which is where the pictured patina came from.

Beautiful knife!

Tonight, I'm carrying the dreaded ZT0560CBCF. While I feel that it must have done something before, the only think I can remember is it chopping up an annoying flying cricket. It was awesome! Bug parts just flew!

Oh, wait. I do remember opening a package once, but I think that was with a Matriarch, because I just cut the top of the box off entirely with one swipe. That'll get you some attention, I'm here to tell you!

While on the subject of package opening, those darned padded plastic envelopes you get at the post office aren't quite as tough as I'd thought. My Ripple just sliced right through it so fast I couldn't feel it, dinging the case that had been shipped to me.

So, now I carry a smaller knife to open packages. :)
Today, it's the Kershaw Double Cross in Damascus. Sweet little double-ended locker!

Benchmade 530. First thing it did was open some mail and will soon be opening a package of brats.

ZT 0550 love this knife can't remember what it's first task was but this thing is a tank. I have a strider sng gg and I still carry the ZT over the strider.

ZT 0560. The day it arrived I used it to chop back some overgrown brush then later in the day some light prying.
