i am looking to buy a new knife and i'm hoping some of you can help me by finding a couple options.
First off, i have recently bought a BRKT so my money in the knife jar is nearly gone. so it needs to be super cheap. (as cheap as possible)

Needed
*2-3 inch blade length
*no serrations
*needs a strong tip, as it will mainly be used for piercing

Preferred
*some bright colors so if i drop it, i can easily spot it
*some sort of coating on the blade
*framelock
*pocket clip

i think that is all of my criteria. if i think of anything else. i will post it.
thanks a bunch everyone

First thing that comes to mind is the Boker Trance. Fulfills everything in the NEED list anyway, and it's cheap.

I would also recommend you check out CRKT. They offer MANY of their knives with a tanto tip (great for piercing), and most of their knives are under $50.

Benchmade Griptillian/minigriptillian in a bright color, Axis Lock instead of framelock but once youve tried the Axis youll really dig it. also you might look into a Spyderco endura/delica or Pacific salt/Salt1

Those dont' seem to meet the "cheap as possible" criteria.

Leatherman has a cheap knife that comes in 154CM steel. It costs about 30 bucks.

The name is k500x (I think -names like this are hard to remember).

Blade length is about three inches.

The knife also has a goofy bottle opener thing that slides out of the bottom of the knife, but overall the knife is solid.

Let me hunt down a picture: http://www.leatherman.com/knives/retired-knives/k500x-k501x.aspx

blade length is just over three inches (at 3.1 in.), it only comes in black, and it is not a frame lock. However, the tip is really strong and can peirce ferociously -if needed. Plus you get a premium steel at an afordable price. It is a user knife, not a flashy knife.
