as ya all know i just got a SOCFK, green handle/black part serrated blade, a week or so ago, had a hard time choosing between the SPEC-WAR and the SOCFK, but got the SOCFK because of the wave. then i had a hard choice, tanto or spearpoint? went w/the tanto, just like the way they look, and now that i have mastered the chisel edge (sharpening lol) no prob in that regard. still wanted a spec war though.....

well i just worked out a trade, one of my spydies (a G10 police SE) and a very slightly used BM for a LNIB spec war black handle/black spear point blade!! ya i know, i really lose a little on the deal, but have 2 of the BM's and 3 of the spydies, so i can feel great about the trade! the SOCFK and the spec war handles are pretty close if not the same, and i love the SOCFK. will be a great knife to put in my rotation. and will be interesting to check out the SP blade, have never seen one yet, only pics. imho i will get more use out of the spec war than another police/710, whatta ya'll think??

anyway i am happy as can be, should be here about thursday, i cant wait! have been lucky trading for emersons lately imho.

now i have a

CQC7 tanto chisel edge green handles/waved
SOCFK black tanto /green handles
commander SF PE/black handles
Specwar SP black blade/black handles

and my BM 975SBT, not quite an emerson, but close, and one of my all time favs.

now i need another skullclip lol

got the spec war today, my first SP emerson, really like it but it is not as well finished as my SOCFK, not bad though, at all, very sharp from the factory, well made/designed/finished, just not quite up to the std set by the SOCFK - ie - filework/grooves on the front/back of the handles/etc.

i really like it though, and will wear it when the wave doesnt work, ie gym shorts/swimsuit/biking/etc.

certainly a helluva knife imho, i like it

John...it's not a illness, illnesses can be cured...Once the Emerson bug bites you, it's like a parylictic bite, you can only offer helpless resistance as you sink deeper and deeper...

If its a double tap, where is the final shot to the head?:D

this is the emerson forum. certain standards must be maintiained.

imho, the final tap is talking the wife into a $1200 or so custom CQC7 , lol
