This one was finished around the beginning of October. A simpler (#9, second to the bottom grade) pattern, with period style animals this time.

The gold is not standard for this grade, but extras can always be had!

I think the gun is early, maybe pre WWI. The finishes are rust blue on the barrel, carbona blue on the receiver, and color case on the hammer and lever. Gold is 18K wire. I didn't see the gun until it was polished. I'm sure it was beat when it came in. This is what we call a "shop" gun, a project we make to show, and hope to sell. They usually sell.

Much like the shoemaker, I have no such gun myself. For that much of my money, it has to have a key, require gas, and transport several people at one time! I don't remember the price on this one, but maybe between 5 and 6K.

Thanks for looking!

Tom

Beautiful, my father would love to have one to take back to Nepal.

Tom, that's just elegant. What an heirloom. Outstanding work. You've really refined your art.

Holy Moly! You do great stuff. I can't even fathom being able to do something like that. Congratulations on a fine piece.

Well, at least we can afford to LOOK at it. :D Many thanks, Tom. That art makes one think of Teddy Roosevelt and the West. Mountains, rivers, skies.

Like to see one of a giant grizzly swatting a dog, then the dog's face looking noble on the other side of the reciever. A canine tribute.

A piece like that deserves a name. "The Judge", "Divine Retribution", or just "Sir"

Wonderful work:)
