This is a 21 inch, 1.75 pound Chiruwa style Gelbu Special that has everything right and nothing wrong. The blade sings when I put the file to it and when I ship it I will have some misgivings.

The fit is perfect and you can see by the relections in the blade what sort of finish it has. The fullers look like they were done by a machine but we all know they are forged. Sanu has the edge hardened up to 58 -- 59 Rc and it will take a couple of hairs off my arm. The handle is the light hill walnut and perfectly executed with HI habaki style bolster. I just can't say enough good things about this knife.

The karda and chama are just shy of 7 inches, excellently done and both are fullered.

The scabbard is made and tooled by the sarki with no name with a dragon and daphne. The frog is the HI 100 year superfrog.

We will deliver this rig to your door for $150 and this is another true bargain from old Uncle Bill.

Call or email if interested.

Uncle Bill,
That is the perfect HI Khuck for my tastes.
That is the blade that I would start my HI collection with.
But alas I am do to go in the hospital next week for an operation. Not sure when the short term disability checks will start or I WOULD GET IT!!! Maybe when I am back on my feet. That is my dream blade though. IT will not last long, thats for sure. Next time I guess. What a beauty!!!!!!!!!

AA, having gone thru open heart surgery in March I can certainly sympathize with you and I wish you the best of luck and will send up some smoke for you (Cherokee Indian style -- check with Yvsa for details). Let's get you well first and then worry about getting knives for you.

It went in 3 minutes so looks like you have very good taste in blades.

That Khukuri looks awesome Uncle! I knew I should have listened to my other side! Now, I know the Chiruwa Gelbu Special could be made. I need to get one in the future. Thanks Uncle!
