I saw a fake Chris Reeve Nkonka on e-bay today. I reported it to Heather to get it removed. Check it out

Nice, that one is a pretty blatant copy of the Nkonka.

The seller only lives 20 minutes from me, i wonder if they know it is fake?

edit - By that i mean with 332 ratings and a 100% feedback you would think they know what they are doing

My guess is that the seller DOES NOT know that this knife (or the Strider, Microtech, MOD...) are fakes. I doubt that a reputable seller would put his/her reputation on the line to sell a few knives. Just my two cents.

I wish my Nkonka had a cheese grater on the lanyard....the tool set is great...but a cheese grater would take the cake...

I'm hoping they don't realize it. It certainly doesn't look like their normal products.

440? That's a surprising amount of paperwork to sell a fake knife. I doubt they know.

That fake looks.............well............impressive with all the paperwork. We know it is a fake, but I just showed my dad and he thought it was real due to all the paperwork that came with the knife. I can imagine someone buying that knife and it does not serve them well and think CRK is crap.....That is a real bummer!!!

Horrible Copy. S0omeone bif the $250 for it, they will certainly be disappointed when they see a real one. I also reported it.

Alot of paperwork? Nah...Imagine paying $25.00 for the knife initially..Think bulk buying..NOW think of selling them for 10x the price you paid for them. The paperwork becomes less of an issue..Just a scanner and decent printer are all that is required at this point. I personally think this guy knows he is selling knock-offs.

what a stunning example of a chris reeve forgery. this really needs to be stopped. Thuis knife was shown with paperwork and looked legit. Besides the fact that it said it was made of 440 what else tipped you of that it was fake>?

Hrmm...lets see...from a comparison with mine.

1)crappy knurl on the handle (flat)- Chris has a particular expectation with the knurl.
2) This one is glossy, Mine is flat black..Not to say there never was a glossy one, but Chris seems to be very consistent with coatings.
3) Where the handle tapers to meet the hilt is conical and not a smooth radial transition.
4)The radius that bisects the two silver titanium pins is wrong. This one shows 3 radii, where mine has only two, a large sweeping radius and the radius that joins the handle to the blade (yes, it is one piece, but this is about the best I can explain it.
5) The flat on the fake is a constant flat, on the real one it starts as a flat and transitions into a radius.

The made in USA is there on the real one, but it is stamped...The fake looks like it is applied via stencil.

Lighting may be playing tricks on me, but I don't believe so.
